The Capitol Spades Tournament was held on June 22nd with 25 teams participating.
Games started at 9am and the final round was played late in the night at
approximately 10pm. We ended the night with an awards ceremony where the top
teams were awarded a total of $1050.00 in prize money!
Joe Andrews, author of numerous spades books and director of the National Grand
Prix of Spades, was in attendance and awarded medals to the top 4 teams.

| Trumpin' Da House Tournament January 17, 2009 |
The Trumpin' Da House Tournament was held on January 17, 2009 with 10 teams in
attendance. Half of these were newbies! Brian Dominick referred 3 players and in
turn got his entry to the tournament for free!! Congrats Brian!
Since attendance was low we were able to provide the ultimate in fair competition by
playing a round robin format. We had one team go undefeated and therefore earned
the first place prize money! A total of $700.00 was given out in prizes.

The Annual Capitol Spades Tournament was held on June 5, 2010 with 14 teams in
attendance. More than half of the team were newbies! We had players from all over
the DMV area!
The preliminary round was 5 games and we took the top 4 teams to the finals round.
Finals were a Double Elimination format. The two top teams received prize money
totaling $675.00!
